Last Minute Ideas for your Night of Fright!

Its not too late to make your Halloween plans!  We are all in luck – Halloween falls on a Friday night this year, so we have lots of parties from which to choose as well as the luxury of some Saturday morning downtime to rest and recover.  Hit the town and celebrate in style.

Even if parties aren’t your thing, Halloween is a great time to get out there and be festive!  And not to worry, you don’t have to splurge.  A lot of great Manhattan venues are offering great deals this Halloween night.

One option, if you have $170+ to spend on a ticket is Guastavino’s.  This destination, a favorite for many regular out-on-the-towners, will guarantee a memorable night.  The party description on joonbug.com is as follows:

”Gustavino’s majestic glass-front bar glows hues to match the mood of the smoldering hot revelers. Surely sinful, inferno, vampy rouges will enlighten Hallows night dark skies. The tantalizing, hypnotic beats of a DJ spinning pulsating mixes of electronic, dance, hip hop and 80's resonating off the Catalan vaulted ceilings will lure you to the dance floor for an evening that will surely be immortalized forever.  Unleash your inner vixen and vamp in high style, glamour and incomparable panache at New York's architectural masterpiece…” (joonbug.com).

If that doesn’t entice you, what will?  Tucked away under the Queensboro Bridge, this spot is not only a landmark, but a frequented venue for a-list private events. But how does your night at Gustavino’s really look? This is a Sinners & Saints Masquerade Gala in a multi-level cavernous 25,000 square foot private event space.  Get your fill at the six-hour open bar and listen to the Live DJ Performance all night long.

Hate this idea of a huge, expansive club setting?  Would you rather just sit home and watch a movie?  Well here is a happy compromise:  A Nite to Dismember at the Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, Brookyln.  Complete with sweet treats, costume contests, and a full bar, this experience is for those who don’t want to buy into the glitz and glamour of the holiday.   The event is described on flavorpill.com as follows:

“Nitehawk’s annual Halloween horror fest is back with a sequel series to make you squeal! Nitehawk is back with another horror movie marathon. This all nighter will feature top horror film sequels, like Evil Dead IIThe Bride of FrankensteinFriday the 13th: Part 2Dracula: Prince of Darkness, and Return of the Living Dead. True to Nitehawk style, there will be horror shorts, festive montages, contest giveaways, and trivia. Don your best Halloween getup, if you dare, and enter the evening's costume contest. End your holiday right with a Nitehawk breakfast in the morning.” (flavorpill.com).

One option is always The Village Halloween parade.  SNOWMAN stormed the streets last year. Maybe it is your turn?  This year the MC is Whoopie Golberg.  Maybe you’ll run into her if you join the mayhem!  This is a true NYC experience that everyone should try once, and for many, once is enough.

But whether you are dancing the night away, locking your eyes on the big screen, or fighting crowds in the village, make sure to enjoy your Halloween night! Take a look at our blog on haunted houses if that piques your interest instead!
